Governor Bello highlights Human capital, infrastructural development as second term focus

Governor Yahaya Bello has highlighted Human Capital, Infrastructural development and security as his focus in the second term of his administration

The Governor also warned youths in the State against drug abuse and other evil vices which he noted had the tendency to jeopardize their success in life.

He made this known on Wednesday at a youth sensitisation event organised by the Ministry of Youths and Sports Development on Youths Restiveness and other vices held at the conference hall, confluence beach hotel Lokoja.

The governor stated that in his second term in office his administration would give keen attention to Human Capital Development which would incorporate the youths, women, the elderly as well as children.

He similarly pointed out that his government in its second would consolidate on gains in the areas of infrastructure and ensure that more projects that would be of value to the people of the state were facilitated and executed.

Governor Bello again restated his government’s commitment to the security of lives and properties of people all across the state

He noted that for the government to have provided security, viable economy in the state, it was the individual responsibility of the youth to take their destiny in their hands and ensure that they achieved great things with their lives.

The Governor admonished the youth to develop themselves as he promised that his government would continue to facilitate programme and policies as well as laws that would have positive impact on the them.

Governor Bello asked the youths to position themselves for political position so that when such opportunity provides itself, they would be qualified for it.

He assured that all promises which his administration has made would be kept noting that the greatest victory for him would be how much impact his administration would have on the lives of people when his tenure was over.

The Deputy Gubernatorial candidate of the party Honourable Edward Onoja speaking at the event opined that Kogi State was modelling a new Nigeria where youth were the actual leaders of today.

He explained that Governor Bello has through the principles of fairness, equity and justice united the State and brought the youth into political relevance.
