The Chief of Staff to Kogi State Governor, Hon Edward Onoja has assured supporters of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Olamaboro Local Government Area that the party’s candidates for next year’s general election would deliver the goods if they clinch victory.
He gave the assurance on Wednesday in Ogugu during a meeting he held with the leadership of the party and supporters as part of activities to mark this year’s Christmas celebration.
Onoja, who reminded the people that APC is out to deliver to the people what belongs to them, said at no time has the nation and Kogi State had it so good as development has come to all parts of the country, the state and Olamaboro Local Government in particular.
He described the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello as a detribalised leader that is committed to ensuring equitable development of all parts of the state, including Kogi East and Olamaboro Local Government in particular.
Onoja, who doubles as the Director General of APC’s campaign council for next year’s general election, noted that the difference between the party’s presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari and that of the PDP, Atiku Abubakar was wide apart.
“The PDP has presented a thieving and corrupt candidate like Atiku and want Nigerians to back him. I am not sure anybody with his knot well screwed would support such a person. I am not just accusing Atiku, his former Boss, Olusegun Obasanjo captured it in book; My Watch.
“President Buhari on the other hand, is a man that is recognized from far and near as a credible, incorruptible and dynamic leader that is making efforts to take Nigeria to the next level of development,” Onoja emphasised.
He then gave clarifications on some issues surrounding the party’s candidates in Kogi East especially the candidate for Ankpa/Omala Federal Constituency, Hon Ibrahim Halims, Alhaji Jibrin Isah Echocho and called on the supporters to give them their backing to ensure the party had a clean sweep in all elections come 2019.
Earlier in their addresses, the administrator for Olamaboro Local Government Area, Hon Friday Adejoh had preempted Hon Onoja by informing the party’s faithful of the party’s commitment to ensuring what is for the people got to them.
