Men of SARS allegedly kill ram seller in ganaja village Lokoja. Govt. Vow to punish killer cop (photo)

State Government have vowed that the perpetrators of the dastardly act that snuffed life out of a ram seller in Ganaja village.

This afternoon trigger happy policemen of the Special Anti Robbery Squad have allegedly kill the manager of BB Umar Livestock, popularly known as Nababa in Ganaja Village area, an outskirt of Lokoja.

For now their is confusion pandemonium in Ganaja Village, as residents have run for safety following gunshots from men of the SARS.

Addressing irate youths in front of the police command today, the Special Adviser to the Kogi state governor, Jerry Omodara, lamented the death, assured the protesters that justice would be seen to be done.

There was gridlock which caused passengers travelling to the eastern part of the country to pack for safety, with tension visibly enveloping the Ganaja area.

Angry mob allegedly ceased the motor bike of the SARS man who hit a young girl Hawking in ganaja. Eye witness said the appealed to the SARS man to convey the girl for treatment, an action that fell on deaf ears, rather the policeman called his other colleagues SARS who allegedly came and fire shot.

Born fire from vehicle tyres was used to barricade the ever busy Lokoja Ganaja road, causing restriction to vehicular and pedestrian movement.

The matter got worsened when men of the SARS arrived the scene and took side in support of their colleagues, an action that sparked the anger of residents of Ganaja, who are natives and felt an injustice has been netted to the girl.

According to the eye witness, the locals felt taking side with the SARs official was injustice, as the accident was allegedly the fault of the SARS man.

In the ensuing argument, there was a shot out with a bullet allegedly hitting the manager of BB Umar, who was alleged to be sitted in his shop.

The death of the manager further infuriated the locals in Ganaja, leading to a pandemonium.

Though the presence of more security personnel, calmed frayed nerves, opened up the gridlock, with the corps of the deceased taken to the state headquarters of the Nigerian Police.

The police public relations officer, has confirmed the killing as caused by the SARs men.

For now their is tension in Ganaja village, even though men of the Nigerian police have taking firm control of the situation.
