The paramount ruler and Ohinoyi of Ebira land, Dr Ado Ibrahim has assured Veteran Actress who doubles as the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Entertainment, Arts and Culture, Mercy Johnson of his total support.
Dr Ado pledged his support on Tuesday 25th April, 2017 while receiving her at the Azad Palace in Okene.
Mercy Johnson was on a familiarization visit to the central senatorial district of the state when she made her first call to the palace where she got the royal blessings of the Ohinoyi.
Dr Ado in his remarks hailed the actress for making Ebira land proud, adding that his daughter had been longing to meet her, the more reason why he was excited to receive her at the palace despite his demanding schedules.
While giving her his royal blessings, he urged her to work closely with the New Direction blueprint of the Yahaya Bello led administration to ensure an all-round development.
Earlier speaking, Mercy eulogised the monarch as her earthly god and father whom she will always run to for supports in all ramification.
While leaving the palace, she headed to the administrative headquarters of Okene, Okehi and Adavi Local Governments respectively, where she solicited the supports of the administrators, inviting them to grace the first ever stakeholders meeting on entertainment, arts and culture in the history of the state.
She explained that the stakeholders meeting scheduled for Wednesday 26th, will bring all stakeholders in the industry to a critical table discussion.
“There is one Mercy Johnson but there are thousands of Mercy Johnsons in Kogi State, and we are going to bring them out for the world to see,” she stated.
According to the Administrator of Okene Local Government, Abdulrazaq Muhammed, the familiarization visit was timely, describing her as a great value to the state government.
The administrator of Okehi Local Government where she hails from, Abdulraheem Ohiare while drumming his supports, supervised her official registration into the All Progressives Congress in Obeiba Ward II, advising her to transfer her voter registration card to the state.
He also led her to the Okehi Civic Center in Obangede, where she inspected the mosquito nets deployed to the local government by the state government for distribution across the local government.
On his part, the Adavi Local Government Administrator, Ajoge Enesi described Mercy Johnson as an egghead, promising to partner with her programmes, with his emphasis on the cultural heritage of the Ebira people.
Some of the entertainers in her entourage are popular comedians St Mosco, Umachaku, Ajoze; Ebira Actress, popularly called Anavami; and Don Flash, a music artiste.
